My Scotland girl is one! How how how?
This year has absolutely flown by. It’s by far been the best year of my entire life. Being her mama is my favorite. She is the funniest girl, and the best cuddle bud.
When I decided to throw Scotland a birthday party it was after we had already decided that we were going to Disney for her birthday. I wanted to be able to have a smash cake and party for her and it just kinda evolved from there.
We did the party as a “Florida Orange” theme… because she’s our little Florida girl.
I worked with Blooming. Flowers. Art. She helped me design the party and make my ideas a reality. She transformed my parents’ yard into what I thought was so pretty it coulda been a wedding. Hahaha
It was such a beautiful day and I feel so blessed to be able to have shared it with our friends and family.
We had donuts courtesy of Remi’s Mini Donuts. They are the cutest little donut shop based out of an airstream. If you’re local and haven’t checked them out before then you have to! The maple bacon donut was so bomb.
I made the sand dollar sugar cookies the night before the party; they are soo yummy. I found the recipe via Pinterest! Here is the link!
Scotland’s Moccs are from freshly picked (of course!) They’re basically the only kinda shoes I put on her feet. They were the perfect touch to add a Florida flare to her outfit.
We used some decor from my parents’ house as well as from our floral designer. You know the saying “Bring the outside in!” when decorating? We did the opposite and used some of our everyday items. It was perfectly beautiful.
Now I’m gonna go snuggle my girl and soak up this day with her. I HAVE A ONE YEAR OLD!
