Ooookay so it’s taken some courage to write this post. I gained A LOT of weight when I was pregnant… like waaaay more than I had anticipated. So, obviously that means I have a lot to lose.
I lost about 20 pounds in the hospital but I still had over 40 to lose to be back to where I was before. Over these past 4 months I’ve lost about half of that so I’m looking at about 20 more pounds that I need to melt away to be back to where I was.
As hard as it is to look at all the cute clothes hanging in my closet that I can’t wear yet, I am so proud and fascinated that my body grew Scotland for 9 months and that I’m now able to provide milk for her to live on. Our bodies are amazing and my mind is blown that I’ve been able to do it.
I’ve been trying to speed up losing these last 20 pounds. I tried a few diets but they affected my milk supply so much that I haven’t been able to do that, so I’m trying to just eat healthy now.
I’ve started doing HIIT which… oh my gosh is so hard. I am not a runner and it seriously has been kicking my butt. I’d love any suggestions on workouts that y’all have done after having babies! I had always had a strong core and now doing 100 crunches is like the hardest thing in the world haha so that has definitely changed.
On that note… finding workout clothes that I feel confident in and be able to nurse Scotland in aren’t easy to find. I have this awesome shirt and bra from CadenShae. They’re a company that makes active wear for nursing moms. I have basically been living in them because they’re so comfy and it’s easy to feed her.
