I can’t believe it’s already July! We leave for our babymoon in Boston tomorrow but I wanted to catch y’all up on my Austin trip with my mom before I go!

Our favorite street to shop and walk was South Congress. We found the neatest hotel (Hotel San Jose) where we took most of the pictures.

We ate at the yummiest Mexican restaurant on South Congress called Guero’s Taco Bar and I’m sooo wishing we could eat there again. If you go to Austin this is deff a must.

We went on a boat cruise one night to see all the bats that come out from under the Congress Avenue Bridge every night to fly to a corn field outside of Austin to eat.  It was super neat to see and the tour was only $10! The details of the cruise are here.

One of the evenings we drove up to Mount Bonnell to take a short walk for the scenic view.  We went before sunset and the sun on the water was super pretty. To see the sunset,  we drove over to The Oasis at Lake Travis. We didn’t eat there but we wanted to see what it was all about. It was beautiful and totally had an Italian feel.

On our last night there we were trying to decide what to do the next day before leaving. We didn’t leave until the later in the evening,  SOOO I decided to lookup to see how far San Antonio was and it was only an hour and a half.  At the last minute we changed our plans and decided to drive down to check out the Riverwalk and The Alamo. It was definitely cool to see but I have to admit I loved Austin wayyy more. On our way down there we stopped to check out what was left of a blue bonnet field which was cool.

It was such an awesome trip, and I can’t wait to go back someday. Now J and I are off to Boston and mama and I will be heading to Utah and Chicago in a couple months. Got to get some last minute trips in before baby 🙂
