I’m soooo excited to share this post with y’all! As most of you probably know, 8 years ago we adopted my little brother and sister from Guatemala, so it has a huge place in my heart. I received this bag from this awesome company called Ixchel Triangle.  The bags are made out of Huipils which are handwoven pieces of clothing worn by Mayan women. They’re made with the most beautiful colors. Every Ixchel Triangle item that is purchased directly supports a family in Guatemala. A portion of the proceeds is given to every artisan who participated in the construction of these 100% hand-made Ixchel’s creations

Seeing the poverty in Guatemala was very eye-opening. It’s wonderful to me that there are companies like this one to help employ and support families in Guatemala.

They sent me their Qas Nim bag which translates to “very large”…. the size is PERFECT. Such a great weekender and it holds it’s shape so beautifully. I’m also a sucker for the scent of leather and this bag smells so so good.

I’m stoked because they gave me a promo code for all my readers! At check out enter “mothers” from 5/4/16 to 5/11/16 for a $25 credit towards any purchase!

  1. I DO love this story! How very special to be able to help those poor people in Guatemala who have literally nothing in most cases AND the fact that our precious Raegan and Keaton were adopted into our family from that beautiful country. I will always consider our family to be incredibly blessed to have brought those two amazing babies into ours! LOVE, LOVE this post! Oh, and btw, the dress is unbelievably adorable!
