Hey y’all, thanks for checking in. I’m stoked to tell about our time in Victoria. It was one of the neatest places I’ve been. I didn’t realize how insanely close it is to Washington state; literally right next to the San Juan Islands!

We arrived to Victoria via ferry from Vancouver. It only took about an hour and a half. The waters around Victoria are home to orcas which I guess you can see on the ferry rides sometimes. We didn’t do a whale watch because we’ve done them a couple of times but if you’re ever there and you’ve never experienced that I definitely would recommend it. I was so surprised with the amount of flowers around Victoria… everywhere you turn. It was gorgeous and smelled great. Even on apartment decks people had mini gardens.DSC_6406

Victoria has so much charm. It’s like a little London. It has such a British vibe to it. They have a huge building that looks similar to the British Parliament and it’s gorgeous. They light it up at night, and we loved to look at it from the warmth of our hotel room! haha I’m a wimp about being cold.

The highlight of the entire trip was having “Afternoon Tea” with my mama. Everyone had been asking if we were going to go to tea so we thought we’d better. I’m SOOOOO glad we did. Victoria is famous for attending afternoon tea. We looked into having it at a few places and decided on The Gatsby Mansion at The Huntingdon Manor, which was right by our hotel.  You can look at our menu here. My mama is a vegetarian and I’m (mostly) vegetarian. I eat seafood and occasionally a little pork. We asked if they’d adjust our menu to our diets and they were great about it. It was so good that I’m wishing I was there as I type this! hahDSC_6409

After our tea we took a tour bus to The Butchart Gardens. They’re what Victoria is most famous for and they said about a million visitors go each year! It was such a pretty day and I highly recommend going if you’re ever in Victoria!DSC_6454DSC_6457DSC_6481

I feel so blessed to have gone on such an awesome trip with my mama and I’m already craving another! I hope y’all have a safe 4th of July weekend! (MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE WHOLE YEAR!)
